overview

Inform readers about the famous graphic designer, Barbara Stauffacher Solomon. Thirteen spreads are included with the front and back cover. The spreads contain information about her career as a designer, from sources listed. Interviews, articles, photos, and projects of hers are included to create the content of the book.

process

Blurb book creator was used for layout and printing purposes. Large text is used to emphasize quotes and small graphics near page numbers for added interest. Grids are utilized, as well as character and paragraph styles. The typefaces are Rockwell used for display, and Futura used for body. Rockwell and Futura both have a rich history and fit Barbara’s design style. The forest green as the main color, and the off-white color adds contrast.
