kc local holiday market is AN EVENT THAT HOSTS OVER 60 LOCAL VENDORS EVERY YEAR TO BRING HOLIDAY SPIRIT TO RUSTIC THOMPSON BARN IN LENEXA, KANSAS. REBRANDED TO A CUTESY GINGERBREAD THEME, A POSTER WAS CREATED TO PROMOTE THE MARKET.

the main graphic was hand-drawn and scanned into procreate to add more detail. custom texture brushes were created using carved linoleum blocks. after stamped, prints were scanned and brought into photoshop, where the brush patterns were created. lastly, they were colorized and added into the illustration for added detail.

THE holiday market celebrates local vendors who sell handmade goods, giving consumers an opportunity to give back to small businesses. Highlighting the creative aspect of the vendors through illustrations of christmas characters is something that fits the rebrand of the holiday market. the texture FROM BLOCK PRINTS were incorporated into the design to add depth. the colors throughout reflect the mood of the fun-Natured illustrations AND GO COHESIVELY WITH THE CANDY THEME.
